Past Events
Castaway Party 2009

Held on Saturday April 4th 2009. We had beautiful weather for this party and were treated to a magnificent sunset with a green flash, although some said they didn't see it.

The treasure hunt was won by James. The 'best costume' was judged by James and awarded to 'Pirate Wench' Raewyn. John probably would have won this if he hadn't removed his wig and cutlass before the judging.

Everyone seemed to have a great time and enjoyed the hangi food. We will probably now make this an annual event. The theme might change slightly, but the overall event and time of year will remain similar.

Shipwreck & Pirates Party 2010

Held on Saturday February 27th 2010. We again had beautiful weather for this party and were treated to another magnificent sunset.

The treasure hunt was won by Madeline. The 'best costume' was judged by Madeline and awarded to 'Pirate Wench' Kathy.

Several of the boys stayed the night and we all had a good day on Sunday, with beautiful fine weather and some time at the beach (some of the other activities on this day will remain confidential).

Shipwreck & Pirates Party 2011

Held on Saturday April 2nd 2011. This was a fun party. Once again we had beautiful weather for this party and were treated to another magnificent sunset with a green flash.

The treasure hunt was won by Ben. The 'best costume' was judged by Ben and awarded to 'Jolly Roger' the ships parrot.

The ladies enjoyed their cocktails, and although the numbers were lower because of 2 last minute postponements, everyone seemed to have a good time.

About Baz & Tan's Bar and Grill

Barbecue, Hangi, Pizza, Spit

Baz & Tan's Bar and Grill is an outdoor kitchen with wood fired barbecue, gas fired 3 burner and 8 burner barbecues, wood fired pizza oven, hangi pit, and gas fired/charcoal spit.

We love good food and we love entertaining. The fact that we also like drinking is a bit of a bonus.

We are on a coastal cliff top with amazing views of the Tasman Sea. Many of our beautiful sunsets include the 'Green Flash'. In the background, there is always the sound of breaking surf.
